SHE Magazine article from 2008

This is the article that SHE magazine published about my journey with colitis.

Since then I had two further children, Isaac 4 and Josiah 11 months.

I'm posting this to give encouragement to who's just been diagnosed with UC and worried that your normal life is over now.

Read all about it below.

5 Weeks 6 days

Well, it started this morning. Woke up to be bowled over by dizziness on a drunken scale with that all recognisable queezy, nauseous feeling.
Yuk.
It seems that despite prayer, my body once again could be subject to the baby takeover. Named parrot (inadvertently by Isaac), this embrionic bunch of cells already is starting to alter who I am.
I am now grumpy, so irritable, i have an even greater cleavage, a rounded bloated tummy and facial spots...ooo how wonderful. All this, combined with my tel tale exhaustion, I don't know how long I will be able to keep this from work.
On the positive side, my food guilt has evaporated. Never have I allowed myself to enjoy carbs soooooo much. Tonights risotto - wonderful. Sausage bap - fantastic. Tortillas - perfect.
Oh and I get to sleep too...wooo hooo . Maybe it won't be too bad after all!!!
